Nash decided to not keep the ladies waiting, as if they would notice his absence. He stumbled through the hallways of the castle and out into the courtyard. He burst out laughing again when he saw the guard that was about to realize his family jewels were aching. “I’m losing my buzz,” Nash said to no one as he opened the door to the Inn.
He moved behind Deidra. She had been rubbing her breasts on his back and arms all night. He reached around and gently mangled her globes through the fabric covering. “I can’t wait to enjoy these,” he whispered lustfully in her ear. With a drunken giggle, he let go of her and took his place at the table before slipping back into the time-stream. The noise of the tavern crashed into his ears suddenly.
Danny poured them another round while David ordered more. There were advantages to partying with the owner’s adult children; they got good service.
The pounding in his head was the toll he had to pay for having such a good time last night. One of the girls had her head on his chest, the other was asleep with her head on his hip. Reflecting on the evening, Nash concluded that these were two of the most uninhibited women he had ever met, and he would be back.
Nash untangled himself from the women and began to dress.
“Leaving so soon, Liam?” Deidra asked. Even though it was dark in the room, he knew it was Deidra because of her slight lisp and the huskiness of her voice.
As soon as he was dressed, he walked to the bed and gave Deidra a strong kiss before moving to Darleen and doing the same. Darleen groaned when he broke away. “Will we see you again?”
“Count on it,” Nash said with a toothy grin. “Last night was amazing.
Both girls giggled and moved closer together for warmth.
“I would stay longer, but I have to be in Dragsby by noon,” he lied.
“You’ll never make it,” Darleen said with a laugh. “That’s a long ride.”
“The horse will be worn, but I’ll make it,” Nash fabricated farther.
“Come back soon, Liam,” Deidra said sleepily.
It was several hours later that Nash realized that in his rush to leave Drenad, he forgot to return the room key. “I guess he was right,” Nash said to himself as he exited Trinity Pass.
Bogmor was the next bottleneck in the journey home, and he was reminded of what happened the day before. As he passed through the sweet scent that emanated from the jasmine plants he tried to use his ability, but it failed.
“I wonder if I can just cover the scent,” Nash said to himself. “I’ll get some supplies in Kheozia and do some testing,” he promised himself.
